Halloween 2026 falls on Saturday 31 October. That matters more than it sounds.

When Halloween lands midweek, the night splits — some people go out, most do not. On a Saturday it does not split. The parties, the bar nights and the private events all land on the same evening, and so does everybody trying to get home from them.

It is the one night where the road risk is not an abstraction

Across the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration's data, 44 percent of traffic fatalities on Halloween night involved at least one drunk driver. Not 44 percent of incidents — 44 percent of deaths, on one night of the year.

That number is the reason this page exists. You do not need a car service to have a good night. You need one so that nobody in your group is making a judgement call about whether they are fine to drive at one in the morning, dressed as something ridiculous, after a night they have been looking forward to for weeks.

Why hourly works better than a ride each way

Most people book Halloween night as two separate rides and discover the problem at the end. The ride out is easy. The ride home is the one that is surging, twenty minutes away, and cancelling.

Hourly service means the car and the driver are yours for a block of time rather than a single trip. The vehicle stays with you between stops. Your coats, your bags and the half of the costume you have given up on stay in it. The schedule can change during the night without rebooking anything, and the same chauffeur stays with you from the first stop to the last.

There is a four-hour minimum. For a Halloween night out that is rarely the constraint — most groups are out longer than that anyway.

Where we run on Halloween night

Washington Avenue, Midtown, Montrose, Downtown, EaDo, the Heights and Rice Village are where most of our Halloween work sits, along with private parties out in the suburbs where getting a ride at midnight is genuinely difficult rather than merely annoying.

If your night crosses two or three of those — drinks in Montrose, a party in the Heights, a last stop downtown — that is exactly the shape of night hourly service is built for. One booking, one driver, no standing on a kerb between each leg.

The early evening is a different problem

Before the adult nights start, Houston neighbourhoods fill with families. Residential streets that are normally quick are slow and full of children between roughly six and nine, and the usual shortcuts are the worst of it.

If you are heading out early, or crossing a residential area to get somewhere, allow more time than the map suggests and expect your driver to take the main roads rather than the clever route. That is deliberate.

Booking for 31 October

Three hours is our standard minimum notice. Halloween is not a standard night — a Saturday Halloween books out, and the late pickups go first because everybody wants the same two hours at the end of the evening.

Tell us the shape of the night rather than a single pickup time: where you are starting, roughly where you are going, and when you think it ends. We will tell you honestly whether hourly or point-to-point is the better answer for what you are describing.

Questions we get about Halloween night

Is Halloween really worse than a normal Saturday? On the roads, yes. NHTSA's figures put 44 percent of Halloween-night traffic fatalities as involving at least one drunk driver. It is the single clearest argument for not driving yourself that night.

Can we change the plan during the night? Yes, and most groups do. On an hourly booking the car stays with you, so adding a stop or leaving somewhere early costs you nothing but a word to the driver.

How many of us fit? We run full-size SUVs. Tell us the group size when you book and we will tell you straight whether one vehicle covers it or you need two.

How far ahead should we book for 31 October? As far ahead as you can. Three hours is our minimum in a normal week, but for a Saturday Halloween the evening slots go early and the late ones go first.

What if the night runs longer than we booked? Tell the driver. Running over is usually fine, but if it is going to be significant let us know as soon as you can so we can hold the driver rather than lose them to the next booking.
